1197 DXFE Partners with 27th Infantry “Action” Battalion for Ongoing Peace-Building Efforts
“Kaalam Alang sa Pagpadayon sa Kalinaw ug Kalambuan – Dalan sa Hapsay na Syudad ug Malipayong Katawhan” (Knowledge for the Continuation of Peace and Development – The Path to a Peaceful City and Happy People) was the theme of a three-day Peace Sustainment Seminar (PSS) that gathered 445 former members and supporters of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) from Marilog District, Davao City.
Organized by the 27th Infantry Battalion (IB) PA and the Davao City LGU, the seminar marked a pivotal step toward peace and progress. Participants attended sessions countering CTG indoctrination and learned about government programs from government and non-governmental agencies.
Janoz Laquihon, host of 1197 DXFE’s ‘Balik Kita sa Uma’ (Let’s Go Back to Farming), shared expert insights on food security and sustainable agriculture to inspire participants to cultivate their lands for improved livelihoods.
This impactful event demonstrates the strength of the ‘whole-of-nation approach’ in ending local armed conflict through collaboration with military forces, government agencies, and partners like DXFE.
