For decades, 702 DZAS has been a trusted voice, offering information, inspiration, and instruction grounded in biblical truth. Through its programs, it has uplifted communities, strengthened faith, and provided guidance to listeners across generations.

A crucial component of the broadcast ministry is its radio transmitter, which has been operating faithfully for over 25 years—well past its typical 10–20‑year lifespan for such equipment. Installed in 1997, the DZAS transmitter has endured fire and flood and gradually declined in output, from 50 kW at installation to roughly 35 kW today, reducing both reach and reliability. As broadcast technology advances rapidly, upgrading this aging transmitter is now essential to restore full coverage, improve operational dependability, and continue sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ across a wider audience.

In June 2023, FEBC Philippines launched the 702 DZAS Transmitter Project: “Transmitting Signal, Transforming Lives,” a faith-driven initiative to secure funding for a new transmitter. By God’s grace and through the generosity of faithful supporters, the fundraising goal was reached and announced in February 2025!

In a March 18, 2025, interview in Bocaue, Bulacan, Mr. Chuck Kelly of Broadcast World Philippines System Inc. (BWPSI), a longtime partner of FEBC Philippines, highlighted several advantages of the new Nautel NX50 transmitter.

“For one thing, it’s way smaller,” he noted. “It will allow you to keep the existing transmitter as a backup. The most significant factor is that it will dramatically reduce the transmitter’s footprint. Its efficiency will also lower electrical consumption. This new transmitter can run at 50 kilowatts. Another major advantage is the built-in diagnostic system; it runs on Linux and has a web server that monitors everything happening inside the transmitter.”

He added, “I believe that broadcasting has an obligation to be there when the people need you. It’s what we give back for the privilege of using that frequency, that spectrum.”

Within the coverage area of DZAS, which includes Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA, a combined population of over 40 million people can potentially hear the Gospel. Preserving mission-critical equipment means we can continue reaching every person who needs to hear it.

With resources now in place, we are moving forward with procurement and preparing for the next step: installing and testing the new transmitter in Bocaue, Bulacan. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026 and will span several months. Throughout this process, we remain confident in God’s perfect timing and provision.
