1143 DZMR “Missions Radio”

Santiago City, Isabela | Cagayan Valley & Cordillera Mountains (Region II & CAR)

Proclaiming Christ in hard-to-reach, highland indigenous communities.

DZMR 1143 AM, also known as Missions Radio, was launched on April 24, 2011, with a clear mission: to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to isolated and indigenous communities in the mountainous regions of Northern Luzon. In areas where AM radio remains the most reliable source of information, DZMR is a lifeline—offering truth, hope, and encouragement in the heart languages of the people.

Broadcast Reach

From Santiago City, Isabela, DZMR’s signal reaches far across Cagayan Valley (excluding Batanes Islands), the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Sierra Madre Mountains. With its strong AM coverage, the station serves listeners who may otherwise have little or no access to spiritual or public service content.

Languages

Primary: Ilocano

Also heard in: Kalanguya (Ifugao), Igorot, Ybanag, Itawes, Bugkalot, Ayangan

Additional local dialects may be featured depending on program partners and translation support.

People We Serve

DZMR exists for indigenous and rural communities—including the Ilocano, Ifugao, Igorot, Ybanag, Itawes, Bugkalot, and Kalanguya peoples. Many live in remote mountainous areas with limited infrastructure and few opportunities for Christian fellowship. Most are farmers, homemakers, elders, and local laborers, rooted in rich traditions yet open to hearing God’s Word in their own language.

Programs

  • Evangelistic Teaching – Sharing the life, teachings, and salvation of Jesus Christ
  • Christian Living – Biblical guidance for family, livelihood, and daily faith
  • Cultural Engagement – Honoring local traditions while pointing to biblical truth
  • Public Service – Community-oriented education and social development
  • Interactive Platforms – Engaging listeners through SMS, social media, and in-person visits

Our Partners

DZMR partners with local churches, indigenous Christian leaders, and Christian organizations who share the passion to reach the highlands. Together, we produce content rooted in Scripture and culture, often in local dialects, despite geographic and logistical barriers.
