Proclaimed in 2011 by UNESCO Member States and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, World Radio Day celebrates the power of radio: the voices it amplifies, the news it delivers, and the stories it shares.

World Radio Day (WRD) is celebrated every February 13. Today, Artificial Intelligence (AI) opens a new chapter that can deepen the bond between broadcasters and listeners. When used ethically and responsibly to support professional judgment, creativity, and public service values, AI can become an ally in strengthening audience trust. But technology alone does not build trust. Radio broadcasters do. AI is a tool, not a voice.

As media rapidly evolves, excellence in this new landscape requires careful discernment. Emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, present opportunities to expand reach, improve stewardship, and serve audiences more effectively. Yet our commitment remains unchanged: Christ is our foundation, and truth is our standard. AI may assist our processes, but it will never replace the calling, integrity, and spiritual discernment that define Gospel ministry.

In this spirit, we continuously communicate Christ in our world through 13 radio stations across our archipelago and two shortwave transmitting sites in Bocaue, Bulacan, and Iba, Zambales; we steward both traditional broadcasting and appropriate technological advancements to reach more listeners. As we embrace new platforms, we remain committed to keeping the heart of radio personal, trusted, and accessible at the center of all we do, until all have heard.
