It felt like coming home. The once-familiar tree-lined walkways of Karuhatan have now been replaced by the modern high-rise offices of One Corporate Center, but for many who came to FEBC’s first-ever FamilyConnect on March 22, 2025, the spirit of the mission was just as warm—and just as powerful.
Held at the 38th floor of FEBC’s Ortigas headquarters, the event welcomed 16 families onsite and over 20 families online via Zoom. This hybrid gathering was designed to reconnect current and former staff, along with their loved ones, to the mission they helped build.
Hosted by Haydee Sampang (DZAS) and Larrie Ilagan (Papuri!), the program opened with worship and a welcome from CEO Luis Miguel Castillo. Ptr. Erik Dizon, former Domestic Broadcast Director shared a message on adapting to the changing times, while Ruth Dizon challenged families to stay involved through more ways of supporting FEBC’s expanding work —on-air, online, and on the ground.
A special segment, Kuwentong Pamana, featured stories from former staff—Dan and Flor Abangco (HR & Accounting), Rexey Domingo (DZFE), and Joy Medina-Malapit (Overseas English Service) —who reflected on how their service in FEBC was more than a job, but an investment in eternity.
“This heavenly investment will never be lost but will multiply till the Lord comes.” – Rexey Domingo, former Station Manager of 98.7 DZFE “The Master’s Touch”
Though buildings, tools, and times may change, the calling remains. By leveraging technology, FamilyConnect allowed the FEBC family—near and far—to gather once more in unity, gratitude, and shared purpose.
